TIPS FOR STUDENTS & PARENTS
*Come in a few minutes before you lesson, get out your instrument and be ready to rock.
*Be patient, music is a language that takes years to master. Enjoy the process.
*Practice! Nobody can learn to play well in a half hour per week. A student must put to use what they learn in the lesson. A good place to start is 30 minutes per day, 5 days a week. Remember the simple rule, the more you do ANYTHING the better you get at it.
*Ask questions!
*Play with friends. Music is to be shared. Play with your friends, school band, and family. It’s more fun and you will excel faster.
*Start a music notebook. Keep notes, have your teacher write out important lessons, write down questions and songs you want to learn.
